    Robles, Rael & Anaya, P.C. has extensive experience and expertise defending federal, state and local government entities from claims brought under Section 1983 of the Civil Rights Act and the New Mexico Tort Claims Act. In New Mexico, our attorneys are widely considered to be leaders in this field, having successfully defended a broad range of civil rights claims, including police misconduct, prisoner rights, First Amendment, foster care, and developmental disability cases. In addition to our litigation work, our attorneys frequently conduct training seminars for law enforcement, corrections, and other security personnel throughout New Mexico and neighboring states. Our work as guest lecturers and speakers ranges from basic cadet level instruction through advanced level training for tactical team members and supervisors.

Our firm has substantial experience representing employers in a wide variety of employment matters in federal and state courts and before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New Mexico Human Rights Division. This firm also advises its clients on a wide variety of employment related issues such as conducting internal investigations, issuing and documenting employee discipline and termination, compliance with wage and hour laws and drafting personnel policies. Our firm also conducts employee training in areas such as sexual harassment, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
    Robles, Rael & Anaya, P.C.'s environmental practice addresses our governmental and private clients' wide range of legal needs such as the environmental aspects of business transactions, environmental permit modifications and monitoring, environmental audits, enforcement action defense and remedial actions, among others. Our firm takes a "proactive" approach to environmental law issues, using cost-effective, sensible environmental compliance measures such as audits and employee training to prevent concerns from becoming problems. If problems arise, our firm will effectively defend toxic tort suits, government enforcement actions, or any other type of environmental litigation.
