Mr. Autio brings to the firm, over thirty (30) years of unparalleled experience representing New Mexico governmental entities. He has served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Albuquerque, Los Alamos County Attorney and his last public position was as County Attorney for Bernalillo County from 2011 through 2015. Since joining our team in 2016, Mr. Autio continues representing New Mexico Counties, Municipalities and Agencies. .Along the way, Randy served through two elections as Interim City Clerk for the City of Albuquerque and for almost a year was the Acting County Administrator for Los Alamos County. Mr. Autio has practiced extensively in the areas of land use, ethics and governmental conduct, employment law, local government and home rule powers under the State Constitution.  Mr. Autio has litigated throughout his thirty years of practice in New Mexico state, and federal courts, and handled administrative hearings and arbitrations in tort law, civil rights, employment, contract, land use and election cases.

Mr. Autio has experience with appellate work in the New Mexico Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, the Federal Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.  As a lifelong New Mexican, Mr. Autio has a keen understanding of the practice of law in our State.  His education includes a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law and Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of New Mexico.
