Roman is an accomplished attorney with a wealth of experience gained through almost 20 years of practice.  Prior to joining RRA, Mr. Roman served as a law clerk to both district and appellate federal judges and represented Fortune 100 clients in complex tax litigation while at a boutique firm in Washington, D.C.  He is currently the lead attorney representing New Mexico in the United States Supreme Court original action, Texas v. In addition, he has drafted numerous appellate briefs and argued several cases before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Mr. Roman has appeared in federal and state courtrooms throughout New Mexico on a wide variety of issues, from federal civil rights cases and state tort claims to defamation, environmental law, breach of contract, and even a high-profile murder trial. He has also served as corporate counsel to various entities, and has represented clients in matters before administrative agencies.  Mr. Roman’s experience enables him to serve clients with diverse needs with certainty and expertise.

Mr. Roman was admitted to the State Bar of New Mexico in March 2008.  Mr. Roman’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carleton College and a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School.  He was admitted to the District of Columbia Court of Appeals in 2000, and has since been admitted to The New Mexico Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
