    Having defended numerous police misconduct and prisoner rights cases in both federal and state courts, Mr. Robles is a trial lawyer with considerable expertise in Section 1983 and New Mexico Tort Claims Act litigation. Both as an Assistant City Attorney with the City of Albuquerque and in private practice, he has litigated claims involving high speed vehicle pursuits, warrantless arrests, search warrant procurement and execution, use of less-lethal force, police K-9 apprehension (bite), and police shooting cases. He has successfully defended five police shooting cases, three by jury trial and two by summary judgment, and five police K-9 apprehension cases.

In addition to trial work, Mr. Robles has represented governmental entities before the Tenth Circuit in several cases. He has successfully represented his clients in a police shooting, wrongful imprisonment, and two police K-9 apprehension cases, among others.

In addition to his trial and appellate work, Mr. Robles frequently provides training seminars for law enforcement, corrections, and other security personnel. In addition to teaching basic cadet level courses, he regularly provides advanced level training for tactical team members and supervisors in high liability areas. He has written a police training manual entitled The Law of Less-Lethal and Deadly Force, and an article published in the National Tactical Officers Association's journal, The Tactical Edge. In addition to his various bar association memberships, he is also a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Tactical Officers Association, and the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers.
    Mr. Rael represents public sector clients on environmental law and water rights issues, as well as mining reclamation and closure issues. Mr. Rael currently represents the Village of Questa in matters related to the Molycorp mine site. The Molycorp mine site and its Tailings Deposit impoundments are subject of a Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study ("RI/FS") under the CERCLA program of the United States Environmental Protection Agency. This site is also listed on the National Priorities List. Mr. Rael also has extensive experience defending various governmental entities and their employees against claims related to police misconduct, prison conditions, personnel matters, and subrogation. In addition, Mr. Rael has substantial experience representing and advising municipalities on all legal aspects of governmental affairs, including real estate, contract, Open Meetings Act and Inspection of Public Records Act issues. Mr. Rael has also prosecuted criminal matters for municipal clients.
    Ms. Anaya is a former federal judicial law clerk and has extensive experience representing the State of New Mexico, counties and municipalities in police, prison, detention center and public official liability cases and claims in federal and state court. Ms. Anaya also has extensive experience representing public and private sector employers in all phases of employment related litigation and personnel matters. She has defended employers in state and federal courts and in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New Mexico Human Rights Division. Ms. Anaya also counsels employers regarding compliance with state and federal equal opportunity laws including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the New Mexico Human Rights Act. She also advises employers about issues of employee discipline and discharge, and about preparation and revision of personnel policies. Additionally, Ms. Anaya conducts employee training on a variety of employment law topics.
    Mr. Colón's civil practice is in the areas of transactional negotiations, personal injury, medical malpractice, inadequate security, products liability, insurance bad faith, and corporate transactions. Mr. Colón also has extensive experience in working with local, state and federal elected officials in order to assist individuals and organizations with their various agendas.

Mr. Colón was raised in Valencia County. He received his Bachelor's Degree from New Mexico State University in 1998 and graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2001. In 2004, Mr. Colón was named Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the New Mexico State Bar Association and one of New Mexico's Forty Under 40 Power Brokers by the New Mexico Business Weekly. Mr. Colón has served on the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association's Board of Directors since 2001 and is currently a member of the American Inns of Court. Mr. Colón also chairs Popejoy Hall's Board of Directors and serves with the Board of Trustees for the Albuquerque Community Foundation. He has served on the State Bar of New Mexico Committee on Diversity since 2003, is a Board Member for the New Mexico College Success Network, has been a Board Member for the NMSU Alumni Association, is active in Lobos for Legislation, and has twice been appointed by Governor Richardson as a Commissioner for the Judicial Selection Commission.
    Having spent his entire 38 year legal career practicing law in New Mexico, Mr. Pearson has a broad background and experience in many areas of New Mexico law. He has administrative and general legal experience with personnel issues as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Albuquerque. Mr. Pearson also has extensive experience with real property, contractual legal issues, and procurement issues under the City of Albuquerque Purchasing Ordinance.

His experience with real property and contractual matters consists of the negotiation, drafting, and review of all types of contracts, including real estate acquisition and disposal contracts, leases, licenses, permits, easements, water rights purchase agreements, property use agreements, development agreements and condominium declarations. He has drafted intergovernmental joint powers agreements with private parties, such as Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway and Public Service Company of New Mexico, and governmental entities such as the U.S. General Services Administration, the New Mexico State Highway Department, and the County of Bernalillo. His work for the City of Albuquerque required comprehensive knowledge of the "anti-donation" clause of the New Mexico Constitution. He has reviewed real estate title documents and abstracts and prepared title opinions for real estate and water rights acquisitions. Mr. Pearson advised the City of Albuquerque on matters arising from the New Mexico Open Meetings Act and the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act.

During the time Mr. Pearson worked for the State Attorney General, he represented the Bureau of Revenue, State Investment Council, and Construction Industries Commission. He worked for the State Legislative Council Services and appeared before committees of the State Legislature. He has also provided clients with written advice, opinions and interpretations of New Mexico constitutional, statutory, and common law, as well as federal laws and regulations, including federal transportation laws and regulations and the National Environmental Protection Act. He has drafted and reviewed city ordinances, state statutes, City of Albuquerque administrative instructions, and policy and procedure manuals. Mr. Pearson has extensive trial experience in New Mexico District Courts and appeals to the New Mexico Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. He also has experience drafting petitions for certiorari to the United States Supreme Court.
    Dr. Smith is a graduate of Tulane Medical School. He practiced medicine for twenty years in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico and has experienced virtually every aspect of medical care. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and a fellow of the American college of Emergency Physicians. He served as chairman of the division of Emergency Medicine for Lovelace Medical Center as well as medical director of the Lovelace Emergency Department prior to becoming an attorney. He is also a board certified Independent Medical Examiner.

Dr. Smith graduated from the UNM School of Law in 2001. He is admitted to practice in the state of New Mexico as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. He is a member of the American College of Legal Medicine and maintains an active medical-legal consultation practice. He has experience in the areas of medical malpractice, forensic medicine, and medical disabilities.
